Just Wing It
The cat (or winged) eye never really goes out of style but this season it got the runway re-vamp. Emilio Pucci did it with bangs, Christian Dior did it in silver and Dolce & Gabbana did it with red lipstick.
Unfortunately, I did it badly. The biggest obstacle in my quest for cat eye domination was that I was lacking the proper tools of the trade.
That's where Bobbi Brown came in. There are a million eye liners out there: liquid, gel or pencil. This particular one is great for a beginner as it goes on easily as thick or thin as you like and stays for hours. It is worth investing in a brush too. A good brush can mean the difference between achieving alluring feline eyes and looking like your kid sister drew on your face while you slept.
Start from the inner corner of the eye and gently line the lid all the way to your natural corner crease. This particular liner gives you time to fix the edges and smooth the line before it sets. If you muck up keep some cotton buds on hand to wipe and go rather than smudging in the mistake with your fingers.
Stick with black until you master your line. Trust me only a razor-shape line can pull off colours.

Plaid Me
Street Stalker noun \'strēt 'stȯk-er\: A person who finds and/or appreciates awesomeness on street corners around the world and shares said awesomeness via the world wide web.
This weeks Street Stalker has plaid all over it's radar.
Plaid has long reminded me of my sudder-inducing school uniform. However, in recent years plaid has been creeping back into the scene bit by bit. Chanel went all out with it's Scottish inspired pre-fall collection and now the Fall 2013 Paris Fashion Week runways are awash. Givenchy, Céline and Stella McCartney have all given the classic grandpa-print the stamp of approval.
The new plaid is more than pleated school skirts and 90s button ups. Think tailored and edgy, clashed and layered.
Stalk the streets and feel the plaid envy ladies.

Monday Music Muse (The Beyonce Edition)
Supermuse noun \'süpər' myüz\: A person, place, object or thing that rises so far above the rest that awesome doesn't even cut it
This will surely not be the only Beyonce Edition to liven up the virtual masquerade party but I feel as she's dressed the part it should be the first. And for just for good measure Lady Gaga is here to throw down her best moves too.
