It has been 51 years since actress, model and singer Marilyn Monroe passed away at only 36-years-old. Whatever Miss Monroe means to you personally, there is no denying that she has made a lasting impact on pop culture.
She posed for the original Playboy, serenaded a president, championed the Queen of Jazz in her early years, was immortalised on canvas by the ultimate pop artist and inspired dozens of books and portrayals. Enough said.
